Achieving a 70% shortlist rate

“We wanted to move into a proactive space within our budget and improve equality and diversity in applications. Gaia did not disappoint. We had a healthy application rate and we were very pleased with the overall look and feel of our campaign. We highly recommend and will be utilising the service again after successfully recruiting to our post.”

The challenge

The National Health Service is England's publicly funded healthcare system and the second largest single-payer healthcare system in the world. The NHS employs over 1.2 million people and is much loved by many in the UK.

For this particular campaign, the NHS were looking to recruit a very specific role which was an ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer’. They had tried a variety of job boards, agencies and even tried posting their own advert on social media with very little interest or relevant applications. They were then referred to us by an existing customer.

The solution

Using the Gaia (formerly Socially Recruited) platform, the NHS were able to pinpoint the candidates that they needed to get in front of and crucially on all the platforms that these candidates use. These included Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Google.

The results

We achieved impressive results in our work with the NHS, starting with 77,000 candidate views, which led to 877 candidate clicks. From these, we received 17 quality applications, with 12 candidates shortlisted—a remarkable 70% shortlist rate—and interviewed. This process culminated in a successful hire, demonstrating the effectiveness of our efforts.
